When the public is literally being led towards more tooth decay and away from time-tested interventions\, the oral healthcare infrastructure finds itself at a crossroads\, on a frontier. Can prevention be cost effective if it’s not evidence based? Who and where are the oral health champions in dental settings? If AI drives more remineralization over restorative interventions what can go horribly wrong? \n\n\n\nIn a world where preventionists are sidelined while the public hears nanohydroxyapatite cures tooth decay and fluoride will lower your IQ\, will providers reach for an increasing volume of treatments for caries with no peer reviewed research to back them up? The oral healthcare ecosystem is poised for some sort of revolution\, but where are the weapons and what might they accomplish?Learning Objectives:1. Improve the prognosis of patient care2. Explain the facets of effective disease management3. Describe critical components of disease management strategies that hinder success4. Discuss roles and goals of Oral Health Agents5. Defend evidence-based anionic remineralization AND research-based caries reversal6. Identify highest risk patients before they develop disease7. The purpose of the course is to educate and remind employees and employers how to identify\, remediate and prevent unlawful sexual harassment and abusive conduct. The course shall also discuss remedies available to sexual harassment victims. Temporary employees must receive the training within 30 calendar days or 100 hours worked\, whichever occurs first. This is a two-hour training; both supervisory and non-supervisory staff shall attend the first hour and only supervisory staff are required to attend the second hour. This training offers several benefits. \n\n\n\n\nattendees shall comply with California’s mandatory sexual harassment prevention training requirement.\n\n\n\nHarbor Dental Society shall offer continuing education credit for completion of the training.\n\n\n\nMichael Rossiter\, Attorney and Partner with Scott & Whitehead as your trainer is an attorney whose law firm specializes in representing dentists and specialists\, therefore she is in a unique position to incorporate case-studies that are directly applicable to the dental office environment.\n\n\n\n\nFinally\, California law provides that employers must pay their staff for their attendance. PM: Functional Occlusion for the Advanced General Practice DESCRIPTION:Geriatric Dentistry and Oral Medicine:By the end of this decade\, the US will have the largest population over 65 years of age than in the nation’s entire history. Longevity comes with consequences. The older population has greater need for medical and dental care and\, in fact\, utilizes 80% of the the country’s medical services: they take multiple daily medicines that manage multiple concurrent chronic medical and dental diseases. The dental care of this population requires specific knowledge\, not only of special dental therapies\, but more importantly\, a formal algorithm to safely manage and treat complex and medically fragile patients.Occlusion for the Advanced General Practice:Occlusion is the great “common denominator” in clinical dentistry. Occlusion affects the success or failure in nearly every discipline including esthetic dentistry\, restorative dentistry\, implant dentistry\, periodontics\, and orthodontics. When occlusion is planned and managed correctly\, dentistry functions better and lasts longer.
