Session 1: Single-Tooth Implant and Implant Fixed Complete Denture Postplacement \/ Oral Hygiene Care with Dr. Thomas Kepic

One of the more popular topics in dentistry is the treatment of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Numerous treatment approaches exist to address these conditions, yet they often yield limited success. This presentation aims to provide attendees with comprehensive information on maintaining oral hygiene, starting from the initial implant placement, and continuing through to long-term care. It will also cover proper instrumentation, techniques, and various medications, highlighting those that may contribute to or impede successful outcomes.

Session 2: Which type of all-ceramic crown will produce the best esthetic result? Zirconia or lithium disilicate? with Dr. Charles Goodacre

The use of all-ceramic crowns has increased dramatically and this presentation will describe and compare the two most commonly used materials (zirconia and lithium disilicate) based on tooth translucency, presence of a definite zone of dentin coloration, tooth discoloration, and use on teeth with limited amount of tooth reduction. The presentation will show many examples of single maxillary anterior teeth restored with both types of crowns, a procedure considered one of the most esthetically challenging treatments to provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
